Transportation for students attending therapeutic schools like Walsh Academy is often a little different in that students are picked up by cabs, sometimes unmarked, often with different drivers, and rarely do they have any kind of familiar relationship with the students they transport or the staff receiving them. It is important that students are taught the skills to verify that the vehicle they are getting into is a safe one, especially when parents are not able to see them off in the morning. Speak with your student, and if you see something that seems off, say something! Click here for a flyer from Busing On The Lookout for more information about transporting students with special needs.
